Happy New Year 2025 – Membership Updates

Happy New Year from Anchorage Makerspace! As we head into 2025, we wanted to share some updates with our community.

Membership Dues Update

Effective January 1, 2025, we’ve updated our membership rates. Like everything else, our costs have gone up – rent, utilities, insurance, equipment maintenance. We’ve held off on raising dues for as long as we could, but to keep the lights on and the tools running, we need to adjust.

New Monthly Rates:

  • Individual/Family 24/7: $150/month
  • Student 24/7: $85/month
  • Active Military 24/7: $135/month
  • Teacher/Educator 24/7: $130/month
  • Super User: $300/month
  • Dedicated Workspace: $340/month

The makerspace has always run lean. This increase helps us stay sustainable so we can keep providing the space, equipment, and community you’ve come to rely on.

Fresh Start for 2025

We’ve been doing some cleanup and reorganization of the space. Big thanks to Lawton and the Dimond High volunteer club for helping tidy up the shop! The space is looking better than ever and ready for your next project.

Get Involved

The makerspace thrives because of our community. Here’s how you can help:

  • Stop by during our Monday Open House (6-8pm) to see the space
  • Join our Slack community to connect with other makers
  • Consider volunteering your skills – we always need help with equipment maintenance and teaching classes

Here’s to a creative and productive 2025!
